Bon Go Jang’s Katsuo Udon is a conveniently packaged cup of Japanese style udon that features less calories than ramen noodles in a miniature sized package. Don’t expect to be bursting at the gut if you eat these noodles. Coming in at 220 calories for the cup, I have to say that this is a pretty reasonable snack. Much less of a meal, that’s for sure! So, if you have a craving for some of Japan’s other noodles, get your cup ready because we’re about to make some katsuo udon!

Step 1.) Open the lid and remove the packaged noodles and 2 other packets from inside

These noodles were surprisingly easy to cook despite having a separate pouch for the noodles. HEYROO’s Shin Buldalk Bibimmyeon had the noodles separate as well, but wow… did they take forever to make. Now, this is how you do it! It looks like Bon Go Jang mastered the art of keeping this process quick, because I had these done in an instant. No sweat!

So, have you ever experienced authentic Japanese udon in Japan? Do you have any other favorite cups of instant udon? Let me know in the comments!
