Bon Go Jang Truffle Cream Pasta is catering to all of those truffle fans out there! Truffles have such a unique and intense flavor to them that’s absolutely mouthwatering. I can’t say I’ve eaten many foods in my lifetime with bits of truffles sprinkled in, but I am definitely familiar. I would assume that the “truffle oil” in this package is actually truffle flavored oil. There is a stark difference between real truffle oil and the commonly found flavored oil variations. I also don’t think Bon Go Jang is THAT generous to provide all of us lowly ramen customers authentic truffles or truffle oil. However, please correct me, if I’m wrong!
This ramen does look to be like an interesting one. You wouldn’t think instant noodles and truffles would be found together, so I’m really taking a liking to this idea of highs and lows. As you know, truffles are usually reserved for only the fanciest of dishes, so mixing the essence of truffles with ramen noodles sounds absolutely insane. It could all work out in the end for Bon Go Jang or there might actually be a reason why truffles and truffle oil are reserved for those exceptional dishes. Something to think about for sure…
While you’re pondering that question, here’s how to prepare these truffle infused noodles from Bon Go Jang if you managed to pick up some…
Step 1.) Open the lid and remove: the noodles, powdered soup packet, dried flakes packet, and packet of truffle oil
Step 2.) Add the powdered soup packet to the cup
Step 3.) Add the dried flakes packet
Step 4.) Boil some water and fill the cup up to the fill line
Step 5.) Mix well
Step 6.) Add the noodles to the cup
Step 7.) Place the cup in the microwave and cook for 2 minutes and 30 seconds at 700 watts
Step 8.) Add the packet of truffle oil
Step 9.) Mix and Enjoy!
Bon Go Jang is always a pain to cook! There were some extra steps that most instant noodles don’t include in their preparation methods. One thing is for certain, I just never know if the numerous steps are going to add up to something great or mediocre. It could go either way, but we’ll find out more tomorrow with the review.
Have you ever used truffle oil before in any of your cooking? Have you tried pasta with truffle oil at a restaurant in the past? Let me know in the comments!
