I’m not sure what the obsession some of these companies have with “carny cheese” is, but I’m sick and tired of it! Does anyone actually like the taste of artificial cheese? I sure as heck don’t! My former enemy cup of noodles, HEYROO, has released another a predominantly synthetic tasting cup of noodles with their Cheese “Flavor” Ramen. And, no, my English isn’t THAT bad, but they probably should have called it, Cheese Flavored Ramen. I feel like that is infinitely more correct. However, at least they were honest when naming these instant noodles, because there is nothing that tastes like actual cheese in them. I’ll save that story for the review tomorrow. In the meantime, let’s make some ramen!
Step 1.) Partially open the lid and remove the 3 packets from inside
Step 2.) Add the powdered soup packet
Step 3.) Add the dried flakes packet
Step 4.) Boil about 370ml (1 1/2 cups) of water and fill the cup up to the fill line
Step 5.) Close the lid and wait patiently for 4 minutes
Step 6.) Add the powdered cheese packet
Step 7.) Mix and Enjoy!
I only have one thing to say about the preparation process for HEYROO’s Cheese Flavor Ramen… At least this wasn’t a convoluted mess like their Shin Buldalk Bibimmyeon. I found these directions much more acceptable. They might even be better than a lot of other cups of noodles I have reviewed recently from significantly larger and more famous ramen brands. Am I changing how I feel about HEYROO? Probably not. I’m still fuming from the last time I made one of their ramens. However, their image is improving in my mind, so that’s saying something!
So, does anyone out there seriously like artificial cheese? I’m really looking forward to hearing someone’s opinion about this. Also, do these directions seem straightforward to you? Let me know in the comments!
