My second ever how-to guide for a cup of Mala Tang (Mala Soup) is happening today with Nongshim’s Mala Tangmyeon. Previously, I created a how-to guide and review for Samyang Mala Tang, which seems to be a direct competitor of this cup of noodles. We’ll have to just wait and see which of these instant Mala Soups is best in the review tomorrow. It should make for an interesting comparison battle for sure! Get your bets in now for which is best, Samyang or Nongshim? While we wait, let’s cook up some of fiery Sichuan Pepper spiced noodles.
Step 1.) Completely remove the lid and take out the two packets from inside
Step 2.) Pour the powdered soup packet on top of the uncooked noodles
Step 3.) Boil some water and fill the cup up to the fill line
Step 4.) Place the cup in the microwave and cook at 700 watts for 2 minutes and 40 seconds
Step 5.) Remove the cup from the microwave and add the flavored oil packet
Step 6.) Mix and Enjoy!
There you have it! This will surely fix your craving for some Chinese street food. Nongshim’s Mala Tangmyeon is quite easy to make and seems to capture the essence of what makes the flavor of Sichuan Peppers such a unique ingredient.
What do you think of the numbing spiciness of Sichuan Peppers? Have you ever tried either of the instant noodles mentioned in this article? Let me know down in the comments!
