Nongshim’s Neoguri Instant Ramen is a mild, classic package of noodles for the seafood lovers out there. Its slightly salty seafood flavor makes it a long time favorite for many. I’ve personally heard from several of my friends and coworkers that this was the first South Korean ramen they tried when they landed. To this day, many of them still reach for this pack of instant noodles when they’re in a rush. Neoguri Ramen continues to gain new followers everyday because of its mild and easy to enjoy classic flavor (there is also a spicy version). You will be happy to know, there are only a few steps for preparing this ramen despite its numerous ingredients within the package. Here’s how to prepare this classic package of noodles.
Step 1.) Open the package to reveal 2 sauce packets and 1 piece of laver
Step 2.) Bring 550ml of water (just over two cups) to a boil
Step 3.) Add the noodles, dried vegetables & squid flakes, powdered sauce, and piece of laver to the pot
Step 4.) Boil for 5 minutes while mixing intermittently
Step 5.) Enjoy!
That’s all there is to it! 5 easy steps! The only real difference on the packaging (at least in South Korea) is that the “raccoon” character has fire in his eyes to discretely describe the spicy version of the product.
So, how about you? Do you prefer spicier instant noodles or more mild ones? What do you think of the creature on the packaging? Let me know in the comments!
