The cover art on these noodles screams, “party time” to me with its futuristic neon logo and prehistoric-sized drumsticks. Nongshim’s design team has obviously worked hard on bringing the South Korean chicken and beer culture to the forefront on this packaging. Oh, the many restless nights and head-pounding mornings I’ve had participating in this food culture with friends, coworkers, bosses, and university students. But… I have to say, South Korea does do chicken better than anyone else, even the United States (Yes, I just said that). We have a long way to go to catch up, but it’s certainly not impossible! Maybe we’ll take back the crown someday, but while we’re still here, let’s learn how to prepare Nongshim Yangnyeom Chicken Instant Noodles!
Step 1.) Open the lid and remove the 2 packets from inside
Step 2.) Boil some water and fill the cup up to the fill line
Step 3.) Close the lid and wait patiently for 4 minutes
Step 4.) Poke holes in the designated area on the cup
Step 5.) Drain most of the liquid (package isn’t specific)
Step 6.) Add the spicy bibim sauce packet and mix well
Step 7.) Add the after topping
Step 8.) Enjoy!
And there you have it! That’s all you need to know to create Nongshim’s Yangnyeom Chicken Instant Noodles (English — Spicy Chicken Noodle) Sorry for not posting any links to these noodles today. It seems that Nongshim doesn’t have these noodles listed on Amazon. You’ll have to get your greasy hands on some of these noodles from your local Korean ramen dealer instead.
Do you like your chicken with beer or beer with chicken? Do you think your country does chicken better than South Korea? Let me know in the comments!
