Ottogi’s loveable semi-classic ramen, Snackmyeon, is a savory and salty delight that you shouldn’t miss. This cup of noodles has quite the cult following among the younger generation of ramen connoisseurs. I frequently see elementary, middle, and high school students indulging in this cup of instant noodles at convenience stores located near their schools. These students study hard and are extra hungry, so Snackmyeon is often eaten with rice mixed with the ramen to fuel the brains of this generation. South Koreans are extremely literate, so whatever is in these noodles, you should probably be consuming too! We could all benefit from a little more ramen-fueled smarts, in my opinion. The salty and savory flavor of these noodles make it easy to enjoy with rice without becoming too bland. So, if you’re studying for your next set of exams or just looking for a simple to make snack, here’s how to make some Snackmyeon!

Step 1.) Partially open the lid and remove the packet from inside

Step 2.) Add the powdered soup packet to the cup

Step 3.) Boil about 370ml (1 1/2 cups) of water and fill the cup up to the fill line

Step 4.) Close the lid and wait patiently for 2 minutes

Only a single packet of powdered soup and some simple directions to make this ramen! There’s always the optional microwave process to speed up the waiting time, but these noodles only make you wait 2 minutes anyways, so why bother? I like my ramen simple, so Ottogi’s Snackmyeon is already a winner in my book.

Do you like to have your ramen with rice added in? Have you ever tried it before? Why do you think these noodles have such a short cooking time? Let me know in the comments!
