What did you eat for your last birthday? I’ll bet you didn’t have “seaweed” soup for your last birthday meal. Well, it just so happens that you don’t have to phone a Korean grandmother to whip up some miyeokguk (seaweed soup) any longer. All the fun of a birthday soup (or postpartum soup) has been slapped into a cup for your instant gratification any day of the year by Ottogi. Ottogi Sogogi Miyeokguk Ramen (literally: Beef Seaweed Soup Ramen) has created this ramen and seaweed soup to give grandma a much needed vacation with a kiss of extra noodles. So, let’s learn how to create this cup of noodles, so you don’t have to interrupt grandma, while she’s sunbathing on a beach somewhere nice…
Step 1.) Remove the lid completely and take out the liquid soup packet from inside
Step 2.) Pour the liquid soup packet on top of the uncooked instant noodles
Step 3.) Boil some water and fill the cup up to the fill line
Step 4.) Place the cup in the microwave and microwave at 700 watts for 1 minute and 30 seconds
Step 5.) Remove the cup from the microwave, mix, and enjoy!
Prepared that cup of noodles in 5 easy steps today! I condensed a few, so hopefully everything still makes sense. Not sure if you noticed, but I got a little carried away and ripped that liquid soup packet too early. I had to take a photo of it inside the cup. Whoops!
Have you ever had miyeokguk for your birthday? For those of you that haven’t, maybe you can skip the cake and go for some of these noodles instead. I heard it makes a great birthday cake substitute! Just kidding… Let me know what you think down in the comments sections below.
