How to Prepare Samyang & Baemin Chikin I Tagoisseo Yo Instant Noodles
Samyang and Baemin’s joint ramen venture has produced one of the more clever cups of noodles I have seen in quite a while. While the flavor isn’t anything shocking or surprising, the name and design on this cup of noodles is something special.
First, to tell you a little bit about the name of this ramen, “Chikin I Tagoisseo Yo,” this phrase has a double meaning. It could either mean, “The chicken is riding.” or “The chicken is burning.” The reason why these two companies chose this name is because burning would represent the Hot Chicken Flavored Ramen that Samyang is incredibly famous for and riding clearly represents Baemin with their food delivery services.
In terms of the label, the picture helps to visualize the name with a burning piece of chicken literally riding on some ramen noodles on a trip to your mouth. I don’t know about you guys, but I like the minimalist design and find the name catchy. The cup itself already tells me that this is going to be fun cup of noodles to enjoy. Two thumbs up for creativity!
Step 1.) Open the lid and remove the 2 packets from inside
Step 2.) Boil some water and fill the cup up to the fill line
Step 3.) Close the lid and wait patiently for 4 minutes
Step 4.) Without removing the lid, give the noodles a bit of a fluff
Step 5.) Poke holes in the designated triangles for draining
Step 6.) Drain the liquid
Step 7.) Add the liquid soup packet
Step 8.) Add the flavored oil packet
Step 9.) Mix and Enjoy!
It takes quite a few steps to make these noodles, right? And, I thought this one was going to be easy… I think this cup of noodles has some of the better packets and triangular drains compared to other cups. The packets were easier than normal to tear and the triangular drains didn’t tear through the lid. This is some high quality packaging!
So, what do you think of barbecued chicken flavored instant noodles? Do you think the name means, “the chicken is riding” or “the chicken is burning”? Let me know down in the comments!
