Two kitties for the price of one today! Looks like Pepper from Samyang’s Jjamppong has a friend named, Salt. For the how-to guide today, this cup of instant ramen is Samyang’s Hot Pepper Jjajang, a member of the same Hot Pepper Series that features green chili peppers for added heat. It’s been a cheongyang gochu (Korean Green Chili Peppers) bonanza this week for sure… Hopefully, I can get away from eating any more green chilis for the rest of the week (maybe?). We’ll just have to wait and see about that. But for today, let’s take a closer look about how to make some green chili jjajang.
Step 1.) Open the lid halfway and remove the 3 packets from inside
Step 2.) Boil some water and pour the water into the cup up to the fill line
Step 3.) Close the lid and allow to cook for 4 minutes
Step 4.) Poke holes in the triangles on top of the cup
Step 5.) Pour most of the liquid out, leaving only about 6 tablespoons
Step 6.) Remove the lid completely and add the liquid jjajang sauce to the noodles
Step 7.) Add the flavored oil
Step 8.) Add the dried green chili pepper flakes
Step 9.) Mix and Enjoy!
Another bowl of jjajang complete! It’s always a good time preparing some delicious jjajangmyeon. I hope you found this article helpful. Keep a lookout for more how-to guides and reviews coming soon.
So, what do you think of adding spicy green chili peppers to jjajangmyeon? Would you rather it be red chilis instead? Let me know down in the comments!
