Based on an enormously popular Chinese street food, Samyang has created their version of these spicy, mouth numbing noodles. Samyang Malatang Myeon is a cup of noodles that works well right along side their ludicrously famous noodles, Hot Chicken Flavored Noodles (Buldalk Bokkeum Myeon). Seems like a common theme these days, but for some reason, Samyang does not export these noodles to instant ramen lovers in other parts of the world. Since you can only find their redundant version of Malatang in Korea, you could try the very similar “fire chicken” version of these noodles. Unfortunate news, I know, but let’s get right into How-To Guide for these noodles. Just in case someone gifted these fiery treats to you…

Step 2.) Pour boiling water into the cup up to the fill line (Sorry! Forgot the Picture!)

Step 3.) Place the cup of noodles in the microwave and cook for 2 1/2 minutes @ 700 watts (2 minutes @ 1000 watts)

These magma-colored noodles were an absolute pain to make by the directions to be honest. The process felt a bit longer using the microwave and the results were subpar, to say the least. Anyways, that’s it for the How-To Guide, I’ll be back tomorrow with the review!

Do you prefer the microwave method or the more traditional boiled water method? Personally, I’m leaning more towards the traditional way. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
