Holy, Batman! Samyang actually released a cup of chicken flavored instant noodles that aren’t like eating a handful of Carolina Reapers! Samyang’s Samgyetang Myeon is a conveniently packaged instant version of Korea’s traditional homeopathic chicken soup, Samgyetang. Samgyetang is an extremely intricate dish which typically features: a whole young chicken for a healthy dose of protein with garlic, jujube, and ginseng mixed with rice for some added health benefits. The ingredients are not limited to these. I’ve had Samgyetang with an exceptionally large piece of abalone on top, in the past. This makes me wonder… Can Samyang actually distill such a complex traditional dish into a simple cup of instant noodles? I’m not so sure about that… We’ll get back to that question tomorrow, but if you’re looking to warm yourself up with some Korean chicken noodle soup, you’re in the right place.
Step 1.) Partially open the lid and remove the 2 packets from inside
Step 2.) Add the powdered soup packet
Step 3.) Add the dried flakes packet
Step 4.) Boil some water and fill the cup up to the fill line
Step 5.) Place the cup in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes and 30 seconds at 700 watts
Step 6.) Mix and Enjoy!
Simple to make and easy to enjoy. Just how I like my instant noodles! This isn’t your grandma’s chicken noodle soup, but I’m happy to know Samyang has us covered for when we’re craving a bowl of chicken noodle soup on a cold winter’s night.
Do you think these noodles could replace your other favorite instant chicken noodle soups? I’m also curious to hear which instant chicken noodle soup brands you enjoy most? Let me know in the comments!
