How to Prepare Wicked Ramen (Yogoe Ramyeon) Shinsadong Naengcho-Myeon Flavor
Wicked Ramen (Yogoe Ramyeon) Shinsadong Naengcho-Myeon Flavor attempts to bring the icy and delicious flavor of cold noodles to a pantry near you! This marks the third package of ramen noodles I have assessed in the past few weeks. To summarize, the others weren’t anything special, but as I mentioned last time…
“The third time’s the charm!”
We’ll see if that holds true or not in the review, coming soon. However at this point, my hopes are completely squashed with this series. I’m sure these will suck. Hard. Just like the others.
If the packaging lured you into its shadowy trap, first of all, I’m sorry for you. You should find new Korean friends, if they sent you a package filled with this ramen. Although, it’s your lucky day, because you didn’t have to shell out any coin for these pricey, barebones noodles. Anyways, people gotta eat, so here’s how you can make these noodles if there’s nothing left to eat in your fridge…
Step 1.) Open the package and remove the two packets from inside
Step 2.) Bring 500ml (~2 cups) of water to a boil
Step 3.) Add the ramen noodles to the pot
Step 4.) Allow to cook for 4 minutes and 30 seconds
Step 5.) Take the noodles off the burner, strain, and rinse with cold water
Step 6.) Put the noodles back in the pot and add an additional 200ml (~1/5 of a cup) of cold water
Step 7.) Mix in both the laver packet and the sauce packet
Step 8.) Enjoy!
I was surprised by the addition of English instructions on the package. I guess I didn’t have to make this “how-to” guide after all! Oh well, that’s fine by me. I guess… Maybe this is the last of the “how-to” guides!? NEVER! I’m sure this will help someone out someday!
Other than that, the sauce packet actually tore well. I didn’t end up with a mess this time, so this is an improvement over the last two packages of instant noodles from the Wicked Ramen Series. There’s also a surprise additional packet of laver! Finally! We get something other than plain ol’ ramen noodles!
What are your thoughts?
Do you enjoy cold noodles or are you completely put off by them? What do you think about noodles mixed with some tangy vinegar in the liquid? Let me know in the comments!
