YouUs Gonghwachun Yusanseul Ramen is a cup of noodles influenced by Korean-Chinese cuisine. The specific dish is known as yusanseul here in Korea, but I’m not exactly sure something like it exists outside of this country. It’s a simple dish that consists of mostly seafood in a heavy starch sauce with rice or noodles. It seems like a difficult dish to replicate in a cup of instant noodles, because of the plentiful amount of seafood that is used in its creation. I’m not sure how YouUs is going to get around that problem or if they even will, but this cup should have a large amount of dried flakes to go along with it, or at the very least, a strong flavored oil with the essence of seafood. So, if you’re craving some seafood today, here’s a guide to help you jumpstart your meal preparation. Enjoy!

Step 1.) Partially open the lid and remove the two packets from inside

Step 2.) Add the powdered soup packet to the cup

This was the first time I’ve seen a cup of ramen that lacked directions for making it with just hot water. Maybe I missed it? Anyways, I don’t think there’s any way around doing things without a microwave, at least without guessing. Make sure you have one on hand if you pick up these noodles!

So, have you ever tried the Korean-Chinese dish, yusanseul? Do you have a favorite kind of Korean-Chinese food? Let me know in the comments!
