How to Prepare YouUs Jjagyechi Instant Noodles
YouUs Jjagyechi Instant Noodles are a new cup of ramen created specifically for the GS25 Convenience Store Chain, here in South Korea. I’ll bet you’ve never heard of some of the convenience stores we have in this country, so let me fill you in a little (I’m a serious expert. No joke). There are basically only a few you will see: CU, GS25, Ministop, 7-Eleven, and Emart24. The competition between these stores is fierce, so new and better products are always being made to attract or retain customers.
YouUs Jjagyechi Instant Noodles just so happen to be one of those products. As you can probably guess from artwork on the lid of these noodles, they are a combination of jjajangmyeon, egg, and cheese. I know I enjoy each of those flavors separately, but I’m not so sure about slamming all three together… Will it be tasty or not? I’m leaning more towards tasty than terrible in my imagination with this one, but I could be wrong… If you’ve somehow got a cup of these noodles ready to be made right now, here’s how you can make them.
Step 1.) Partially open the lid and remove the 3 packets from inside
Step 2.) Add the dried flakes packet to the cup
Step 3.) Boil around 460ml (~2 cups) of water and fill the cup up to the fill line
Step 4.) Close the lid and wait patiently for 4 minutes
Step 5.) Peel back the designated area for draining on the top of the lid
Step 6.) Drain the liquid
Step 7.) Add the powdered jjajang packet
Step 8.) Add the powdered cheese soup packet
Step 9.) Mix and Enjoy!
Whew! Now that’s a lot of steps… These noodles better be worth all that extra effort! Adding three packets to a cup of noodles always takes up more time. I’m usually okay with this, IF the noodles turn out delicious. If not, my grumpiness kicks in real fast!
